• What Jeeps will the SPOD fit?
TJ,LJ & JK Wranglers 2003 –2007. Sun visor adapters required for 1997 - 2002. (no extra charge)

• Will the Source fit diesel equipped Jeeps?
No, the Source mounting system will not work.
• Do I have to wire all the switches up myself?
Not if you purchase our harness.
• Will the sPOD fit with an aftermarket roll cage installed?
The sPOD fits most aftermarket roll cages that allow the sun visors to fold up. 1997 - 2002 Jeeps equipped with a Rock Hard 4x4 sports cage will Not fit sun visor brackets.
• Can I hook up lights and accessories directly to the switches without using relays?
No. The switches that we supply are to be used under a “No Load” circuit! Relays and fuses must be used! Please refer to your accessories recommended specifications. The Source comes with all relays required!
• Are the switches that you supply SPST (single pole single throw) or DPDT (double pole double throw)?
We only supply SPST.
• Do you need special tools to install the sPOD?
2003 –2006 Jeeps requires a Philips head screwdriver and 1997–2002 require a TORX bit and a Philips head screwdriver.
• Can you still put the windshield down on the Jeep after installing the sPOD?
Yes you can, as long as your wire harness allows enough play for wires to stretch over the hinge point.
• What is the sPOD material made of?
The sPOD is made of Aircraft .063 5052-H32 Aluminum Alloy.
• Will I have to drill a hole for the wire harness?
Yes, a single Ø1" hole is required. We supply a grommet and carry a Ø1" hole saw for $13.50.
• Can I detach the center bezel and put it on the bench for wiring?
Absolutely! By just removing the 10-32 Philips head screws and unplugging the harness quick disconnect.
• Will the plastic windshield cover get ruined when I remove it for the installation of the sPOD?
Not at all. When you pull it off, all hardware stays on the plastic piece, that way you can store it for later use or replacement if you decided to keep your sPOD when you sell your Jeep.
• What hardware will I need to purchase to install the sPOD?
A complete set of aircraft quality hardware fasteners will be included with your sPOD kit.
• Can I modify e.g.: drill holes add features or add accessories to the “header pn 500-100” metal part without effecting the fit, form or function of the switch bezel?
That is entirely up to you! Just as long as you do not modify any of the mounting points that would jeopardize the integrity of the unit. With the system being made of aluminum makes it easier for the home enthusiast to add new features to their sPOD.
• Will it be difficult to purchase other configurations of the bezel for the sPOD?
Not at all! We have developed a part numbering system that will make purchasing a breeze for parts and accessories for your sPOD by contacting the distributor.
• Do you carry “blank” filler panels to fill unused switch cutouts?
We do not carry filler panels at this time. We figure that by just leaving a switch in the spot until you decide to hook up another accessory works as great filler!
